NSM Jukebox
Company History The German NSM company was founded in 1952, much later than its American counterparts, but is now one of the largest jukebox manufacturers in the world. The NSM mechanism used in the 1950s was unique, it played 45rpm records from a vertical stack, using different tone-arms for the a and b sides of the records. NSM were the first company to have their jukeboxes imported by America. Notable Jukeboxes The Fanfare employed the unusual mechanism described above, housed in a striking cabinet. Curved glass revealed the mechanism, chrome decoration gave it pizzazz. |
