Bal-Ami Jukebox
Company History Bal-Ami was formed after a licensing agreement was struck in 1953 between the American AMI Co and the English Balfour Machine Engineering Company. The English company was allowed to manufacture the American designed jukeboxes and market them throughout the UK. Bal-Ami ceased to manufacture jukeboxes in 1962 following the death of Sam Norman. Notable Jukeboxes Bal-Ami produced scaled down versions of the American designs, suitable for smaller locations, such as English coffee bars and tea rooms. Perhaps the best known of these is the 'Junior 40' a scaled down AMI Model F. |
